I have to give Richards credit for how he is pitching at this moment. But I still want him on an extremely short leash.

I give Plawecki credit too. Also the lineup for scoring 7 runs so far. Cora goes short leash when needed and in fact has excellent judgment on that.

Richards is on the verge of having 4 decent pitches: fastball, changeup (which isn't that great, actually), slider, and his big curve. I think the changeup needs to be slower to be effective. When ERod slowed his by 4-5 mph, it got much better.

Hard to tell if the SOX have come out off their offensive swoon or if the two Jays' pitchers were both completely weaponless today. Hope it's the former. I guess Tuesday night will answer that question.

That route Renfroe took looked like the Lewis and Clark search for the northwest passage. All's well that ends well.

Even though his hitting has gone south, Renfroe remains the best defensive RF in the AL.

Meh. Great arm, but not great range.

That was actually a pretty good pitch Vlad hammered, but he is a great hitter.

It was Richards best curve of the day, down around the shoe tops, but Guerrero just golfed it out of park.

Richards - 5 innings and only 4 runs. Lmao I mean for him that’s not bad

It's incredible, especially when the Guerrero dinger was actually a very good pitch. It did cost him 2 runs, however, because he walked the first guy he faced in the 5th.

Yes very true. Regardless he gave us a chance to win today and that is all o care about. I don’t expect Richards to be a god but if he can give us 5 or 6 innings and we have a lead that is what I care about at this point.

Brett Phillips with the granny to put TBR up on the O's 9-5 in the 8th.

Yanks tied 0-0 in the 7th with the M's.

MN up on HOU 4-2 in the 5th.

CWS play the Cubs tonight.

Oak plays TX, soon.

Laughable base running all around MLB. You see mistakes and crappy base running you would not have expected from a decent high school team 15 years ago. But I forget, all that matters is hitting it over the fence. They simply do not know what to do with themselves if they are on the base paths.
