These Angels' announcers react to Ohtani like young girls used to react to The Beatles.

Let's not forget they are paid by the team and the team wants Ohtani to be a superstar.

Thanks, Raffie. We did not need a foul pop.

Never figured out why a round bat hitting a round ball would be so difficult to make solid contact. But, the SOX have been patient enough with Rafi; time for him to be DFA'd.

That looked like me playing right field there Lol!

Neither Gosselin nor Rengifo found the wall first which you basically learn in High School. In Rengifo's case it would have helped him with the sun since you have to turn your body to find the wall with one hand. The ball would not have been just hanging in the sun at its apex which is in fact a terrible feeling. If it hangs in the sun at apex you simply don't know where it's going. Finding it when it comes out of sun is mostly luck when it hangs in the sun at apex.

True. Rafi is our best hitter and has driven in a zillion runs. But this is a game thread and it's hard not to get pissed when Devers, Renfroe, and Arroyo all screw the pooch with Bogie on 2b and no one out (then 1 out, then 2 outs). All Rafi had to do was single or even move the runner to 3b.

I kind of liked Dalbec getting on the ump on that strike 3 call. It showed he had an idea about the strike zone, something he's seemingly lacked a lot this year. He took some good close pitches for balls today. He still has to make contact (something he also did today) so maybe there's hope.

They rate slightly above the Yankees in my book, and the gap is only a couple pages.

I agree. Screw Montreal! It's a joke to the NHL that they're even in the finals. Anyway, I stopped watching the NHL playoffs when the BRUINS got eliminated.

Vazquez forgot to tag up--even though it was 2 outs, you gotta be safe--and actually scored on that texas leaguer down the left field line.

Yes, but if he ran the bases properly and got to third, Dalbec would have got a double. Both would have scored on the bloop by Verdugo. It ended up costing the Sox a run, which is the margin of the loss. Dumb.
