I mean in fairness to D Money. He isn’t saying “e Rod f***ing blows, he walked this guy….. it’s a game day thread and he’s saying the walk isn’t good which is true. I said the same thing on another forum. Relax.

Fair enough.

To be honest, I'm really tooting my own horn because I saw the good ERod vs. the Yankees and immediately saw the same guy in the first inning tonight. Apparently no one else did. As each inning and game goes by, ERod is also growing in confidence. But his new base is much better command and a far better mix of pitches.

Whoops, there goes another shutout inning, 5 total, by ERod.

Meh, ERod is at best a number 3 slot pitcher, and nothing more, but more importantly nothing less. Meh

A Sox win tonight would give them a 4.5 game lead over the Rays, 8.5 over the Jays, and 9.5 over the Yankees.

A lot of baseball left to be played, however.

All right! leadoff singles by Devers and Renfroe!

You're doing well Renfroe. We want you on the Sox for a long time. We are willing to give you a generous contract for your skill level. How would you like to play for the Sox for the next two years?

That's probably where I would put him, but 2 weeks ago he was headed for the 8th or 9th slot.

Without the covid issue and missing a year thing, there was concern he didn't have it this year after the last few starts. But still...... meh

Speaking of which, I think just about every Sox starter seems to be improving, so I'm thinking maybe the pitching coach gets a little credit.

Oh I agree! I’ll be the first to admit I wanted him gone. I’m happy to eat my crow and I’ll shut my mouth. He has been fantastic his last two starts. Always happy to be proved wrong when it’s for the better. He looks great! Reasons like this is why I haven’t applied for management of a baseball team lol!

We all get to eat crow, except maybe for moonslav, because we all thought ERod was beyond reclamation.

Chavis has his days counted in Boston. He brings literally nothing to the table.

Sure looks that way. He has certainly had his chances.

It’s like the time I said KFC was garbage and unbeatable …. And then they brought out the boneless box meal. Life changing. So good

But seriously this E Rod is ace material. Holy smokes. I just hope it isn’t a mirage.

Ain’t it a wonderful thing?

Hell yeah!

He looks 100% healthy and confident.

Entering to the second half with two horses in Eovaldi and ERod will be very encouraging.

I think the repertoire is real and substantial. The command has been good to excellent in two straight games, but command isn't always there, even for the best pitchers.
