Oh holy s***. Forgive us for expecting bigger things with the season we have had so far and the 9 game winning streak. I’ll give you, I didn’t expect much this year before the season but being first place up till a week ago, and then pulling this s*** (0 offense). People have the right to be upset. He is calling the team out and saying they look like s*** and you’re insulting him saying “didn’t that sink into your brain” if you don’t like negative comments get off forums

I love the Oilers board. Hockey fans can take criticism. Baseball fans are sensitive as hell, Jesus.

Keep believing in the 9 win streak from a team in transition with no ace or star. Just don't cry out when the team isn't in first.

First time ever; I slept thru a SOX game. Got to the bottom of the second and then zzzzzz's. When I woke up it was over. Hell, if the SOX offense can sleep thru 3 games, I don't feel too bad about sleeping thru 1.

I blame you for the loss then.

Maybe my view on what being a fan means is way different than many, here.

It doesn't all have to be positive. If the team is playing lousy, I have no issue with anyone calling them out on it. This series is exhibit A.

But those 2 only show up when things are not going well and they overwhelm the game thread. If the Sox are winning, they are nowhere to be found. The next meaningful insight either of them have will be the first.

Just my view; I am loathe to put people on ignore, but those 2 have, as John Houseman from the old Smith Barney commercial, "earned it".

There are other posters I don't like, and basically refuse to reply to them (MVP is one), but their stuff is worth reading.

So you were the problem. Not pulling for the good guys. Now we know.

To remind: tomorrow's 4th game starts at 2:10 with Perez (3.55) going against Odorizzi (6.75).

I was awake for the first two; that didn't help.

Sox scored their only run in the 1st and fell asleep when you did.

My bad

Good try guys!!!! 4 runs in 3 games and out scored 18-4.

I understand where you’re coming from. Maybe some of us got a bit too excited but this series…., come on. I would give Detroit or Pittsburgh better odds to put up a fight.

Well said!

Whether you expected lots or little from this season, we have been out scored 18-4. That is worthy of some criticism

Yeah. To me, bring an ace is both stuff and a mentality.

Stuff, mentality, and command. But I do like mentality. And, frankly, even in a good year, I think ERod never has all three.

I have to admit. I was only half invested in watching through parts of the game cause I'm blacked out as the game is in Texas and some super special money mongaloid thinks blocking me out is going to make me drive three hours and pay 200 bucks is better for the game than me watching the game on MLB tv .

So I share the blame.

I promise not to sleep thru tomorrow's game, but I can't promise the SOX won't.

If the Astros got the same pitching they are getting this week, no they wouldn't.

Got to remember it's not always about who you play but also when you play them. The worst teams in MLB will have a hot week here and there where everything goes right for them; you play them those weeks, you're in trouble. The best teams will have an occasional week where nothing goes right for them; you play them those weeks, you'll do okay.

Lucky for us it lands as Tampa is red hot (luckily Yanks have beat them twice) if that’s considered lucky……. Yanks catching up to us too.

We are not a championship caliber team. We could be there sooner than expected though.

I expect M. Perez will keep the SOX in tomorrow's game. He, too, has been a pleasant surprise. I, also, expect the SOX to win tomorrow, because it's hard to sweep any team in a 4 game series.

We have what, 16 games left with Tampa and 19 with the Yanks; how they do in those games will go a long way in determining playoff possibilities.

Tampa wasn't going to continue a 16 out of 17 pace or whatever it was; the 27 Yankees didn't do that for a season. Unfortunately, the Yanks may be waking up, and let's face it, the Sox haven't exactly lit Yankee Stadium on fire the past several years. Even in 2018, I think they only went 3-6 there.

Don't forget Price was 0-4 vs. NY in '18, including the playoffs, with a double-digit ERA.

Yankee Stadium is a hitters park. All the more reason to credit their pitching staff.

Agree those games are especially important this year.

This morning's stats say the five best Sox pitchers, WAR-wise, are--

Eovaldi and Pivetta @ 1.1,

Barnes @ 1.0,

and Richards, Perez, and--wait for it--Whitlock @ .9.

I'm OK. Forced isolation for most of a year waiting for the vaccines. I am in that 1% of asthma sufferers for whom just the asthma can kill ya'. Has tried to kill me twice already with no help from anything else. COVID was taking 30 year olds with my kind of acute asthma. But made it this far. The isolation part hasn't been easy. Thank God my son has been living with me and we have had a good COVID plan and living arrangement. Probably saved my ass for what it is worth.

Good to hear you are oks old sport. I was diagnosed with COVID last December but fortunately I had only mild symptoms. Unfortunately in Mexico the whole COVID thing has been a disaster in great part of this inept government.

Anyways, at least this team is helping us to cheer us all up a bit and helping to forget as well major real-life problems like COVID.

Glad to hear you came out of that OK. Good hearing from you again too!
