If we score 4, we'll ruin the 3 x 9 plan!

3 x 8. I hope to God there's no bottom of the 9th or else we'll be here until 3 am

Well I guess we can suppose the Sox saved it all for Manaea.

Or the law of averages or something. We were due for a pitcher to be off his game.

Good pitching always beats good hitting.

4-0 Rays. Sweet. We may not hear from the doc tonight...

And I benched Austin Meadows in fantasy. :(

Richards turnaround makes a huge difference in the rotation. As long as he can keep it up our rotation is at least respectable if not better. The hitters at the top of the order are fine. The bottom, not so much for an AL team. I don't see how they can keep Francy going out there. His fielding is fine but he is the LFer. Not exactly the premier spot for an Ofer on this team or in this park and his hitting is laughable. JBJ revisited if not worse.

The BP......can be Cora rolling bones in the dugout to set up innings 6 through 8 and bridge to Barnes.

On a side note as much as I like RemDog, this threesome in the NESN booth is darned good IMO.

Remember the years when it was common to watch us outscore our opponents in a series only to lose 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4?

More than I would like to remember.

This game - and many others this year - have reminded me of 2018 when this kind of game would be a regular occurrence. That was a fun summer

Holy s*** - WEEI just replayed the radio call of the Mother's Day Miracle. 14 years ago today, and I remember it like it was yesterday. Stop making me feel old tonight!

Richards has been awesome to watch. Love that we got him, won’t lie.

He's never really been bad- just injured.

(We got 'em on an option for 2022, too!)

This is a team that knows him well from his days in LA. I wasn't expecting him to be this sharp tonight

It's ironic that about 6 years ago Richards was one of the best pitchers in the game until he severely injured his leg covering 1st base here at Fenway. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER
