This could be the hardest one to win, but Perez has looked pretty good, of late.

Gotta mop up on teams like this, as we have a very tough schedule ahead, particularly from May 31st to August 1st. The A's are up next.

Lopez suffers from a severe case of home-run-philia, except for two starts ago against the Yankees, when the O's ended up winning 3-2. If we get to him early, we should provide enough support for Perez.

Gotta go with Perez and the win because this year I think he is better than Lopez, who got hammered by the Sox a month ago. He has been better since then, but with a tight rein. He's gone 5 innings in 1 of 6 starts.

Thanks mostly to Sox hitting, the Sox have the best record in MLB and the best road record, 12-4.

It also helps that key players--the rotation, Barnes, and the Sox "big five" (JDM, Bogie, Rafi, Elena's grandson, and Vazquez)--have stayed healthy. Hernandez and Arroyo are on the IL, but neither absence is calamitous.

Agree with moonslav that June and July will be tough.

All that said, this has so far been one heckuva season. Credit to the players, of course, but also Chaim and Alex.

What was that Kenny Rogers song? You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when to run. Also know when to mix your metaphors.

Super psyched for this week, and it all starts tonight! All the major outlets are ranking us as the #1 team in baseball this week. A's and Angels coming to town. Good baseball (Oakland) and big stars (Los Angeles) coming to town, with Fenway's capacity increasing to 25%. Our time to shine

Should be a pretty close game like yesterday. Perez is good for 5 or 6 innings , let’s just hope he limits h the damage and keeps it close......

We signed Workman back to the pen!!!!!!! That’s cool!!

1. Marwin 2B

2. Verdugo CF

3. JD DH

4. Bogey SS

5. Devers 3B

6. Vaz C

7. Renfroe RF

8. Cordero LF

9. Dalbec 1B

It would have been nice to have Marwin play OF instead of Cordero, but with Kike and Arroyo both out at the same time, it looks like 2B, it is.

I'd have seriously thought about Chavis at 2B and Marwin in LF with Cordero on the bench, but again, I'm fine with Cora's choices.

When we face lefties, we'll probably see Marwin and Chavis in the lineup. Verdugo sat against some toughe lefties earlier in the year, but he will have to tough it out against them for now

6-2 so far in 1 run games. Given how our bullpen was expected to perform at the beginning of the year, I would take that in a heartbeat

Not very efficient in the 2nd, but we escaped only down 1. Remember how good we are the 2nd time through the order? We're still in good shape

Game is going by quick. Between this , the oilers, and trips to the bathroom from stomach issues from eating pepperoni. My night is set.
