I think Dave Dombrowski's biggest asset is that he is a very good evaluator of baseball talent.

 

His biggest detriment is probably that he tends to focus on the most expensive talent.

If I gave you four cans of tomato soup in exchange for your Cadillac, you might say I overpaid because I could have gotten a half decent car for just three cans of soup . But in the end , I got the Cadillac and you got the tomato soup. I think I made out pretty well in the deal.

Thanks. I do try to add a little humor to things. Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. People tend to take everything a little too seriously. As far as trades are concerned, I think Dombrowski did what needed to be done . I have no complaints.
