Whit is smooth on the mound. No unnecessary motions. Throws an easy 96 and has a nice back-up change. I think the SOX should keep him.

He thought the wild pitch was further from the plate than it actually was, so he was caught in a rundown between 3rd and home.

Runners have to be cognizant of the brick wall behind the plate; sometimes a wild pitch bounces right back to the catcher.

You’re right. I just like mentioning Williams, a classic great-hit, no-field player. Piersall once COMPLAINED he should get paid double for covering LF and CF.
