The SOX should keep Weber if only for the fact that he has control of his pitches in the strike zone. Also, he seldom throws anything w/o movement. Yeah, he's a keeper.

 

He's hittable but can get the ball in the zone. He's worth an inning every 2 or 3 days, and can get you two when needed

More than likely a trading partner would have to come from the AL.

 

He was such a dominant force last year that it's hard to see him flailing away. Still has stats that most would envy, but they didn't translate to wins.

New rule:

HR's that travel over 450 feet count as two runs. IOW, a grand slam that travels over 450 feet would produce 5 runs.

While the three point line worked to open up the floor as basketball players playing inside got larger and more agile, I don't see the two run line in baseball being very practical.

Well, if your team is down by two runs with no one on base and two outs, you still have a shot.

One good thing about the SOX play in September; it will make the departure of a lot of these current players easier to take.

 

Most of them should go all the way back to the Instructional League and start over again....sort of like a board game.

I would say that MLB should work to get rid of these rocket ship baseballs, not try to invent BS to put around them.

They should go back to the 2016 official baseball. It was already a juiced baseball and IMO did a reasonable job of providing more offense without simply raping the game itself. The 2018 was over the top and this 2019 ball is over over the top. I can't think of a more fitting description than over over the top. My vocabulary skills fail me with regard to this abortion.
