Continue to be bothered by the utter incompetence of some of the umpires, who, in effect, because of their union and the need to accomodate known fools, defy accountability. Maybe if there was a pitch speed limit, they could see it better, like about 70mph.

Seriously, how does MLB clean the trash and get some sharper heads in there?

I honestly don't see a near term solution. Most of these clowns got their jobs the last time MLB pushed some of the older umps out, convinced a few more that they just did not need this aggravation any longer and a few more just said NO MAS as a matter of course. Now on the surface of it that might have sounded like a good idea. But as usual MLB had not researched the next step after letting all those guys go accordingly and this is the result. We now have a bunch of single cell amoeba wearing masks that have no idea what they are doing.

You don't listen David....you don't listen. Your ears are only full on when Eck has something to say or there is some twitter criticism. Other than that.....you are not interested.

I mark down the Price for 4 innings tonight. The pitch count, plus the Hr's yet to be hit on that upper half outside of plate will do him in , again

Happ has 6 outs on as many pitches as Price does for 3. David needs a clean second to recover. Or the game could be already over

A hitter with a .684 OPS should never be hitting 5th for the Red Sox

Truth is, it doesn't matter any more. I would rather see some of the Pawtucket guys come up for a cup of coffee and IL some of the stiffs who have pretended to play baseball this year.

Gotta' get to that change when you get to two strikes David. They will chase it right into the dirt. Just don't throw it for a strike. No need to let these pin striped punks drive up your pitch count. Actually no need to let them hit you either.

That's why they signed Pearce to play in matchups like this. Is he dead?

Effectively dead . You might see him in September when he comes to get his gear and his WS MVP trophy. One of DD's mistakes resigning Steve to a now expensive deal. Very likely cost them another reliever

Atta' Boy JBJ. Next time Happ will try two feet outside instead of one and you likely will still swing at it.

Arod, shut the f*** up. "Devers always swings at the first two pitches!" He says that with a 1-0 count. Clearly, he didn't swing. Then he says "make him chase to hit into the double play, just like that". There were two outs you idiot

I am so NOT going to miss Bradley next year.
