Cashner is an acceptable #5 pitcher. However, with Porcello the SOX already had one.

Worth pointing out that though i got chided on the board for wondering about this day game in 100 degree heat with a 70+ dew point, nobody on either team has distinguished himself necessarily beyond the O's pitcher playing this day game after a night game in this heat.

 

The way the travel schedules are now....RIDICULOUS, they should allow the use of specific PED's..... only do it with the full support of the league and under doctor's supervision. I would trade that for these stupid rocket ship baseballs in a NY minute and be damned proud of MLB's common sense for a change. Something I have not been able to say for a long time now.

Little to no desperation just mailing it in .i think I'd lean toward dealing JDM and keeping Benny for Defense purposes .I know the guy has been aweful but I'm not weakening the D also .Want to trade Benny ? Do it in November December but now is the time to start shopping JDM .

Many a coach has stated once these pitchers hit the majors they can look absolutely terrible one day and No hit a team the next start .Every one of these pitchers have something elite in them .Today we got beat by his best stuff he's maybe ever had at this level .Tip a cap

Three baserunners today in 8 innings and this team is close to the second tier of the competitive balance tax limit. Beni has not been hitting for some time now and JDM has one good game in 5. As soon as this team looks like they are about to be totally out of it, they do something like yesterday, but then they quickly follow it up with a game like today.

 

When you feel like we are getting back in a groove, we have a game like today.
