He pitched well last night. Like a lot of these guys, he seems incapable of pitching back to back games.

I would not have taken Walden out; he’s capable of going and has gone more than 1 inning; I even thought he might have gone 3 and gotten a cheap save.

It's not tonight or anything. Every time Brasier pitches, the ball is spray all over the field. That long single is a HR in other parks. He already allowed many homeruns already. He needs to pitch better in non high leverage innings.

OB & Jerry were just talking about the London trip, the number of runs scored and how well the ball carried. I'm still wondering if MLB sent a double-juiced ball to London to make the game "more attractive" to the Londoners.

Same with last night regarding Workman. Cora's keeping them rested for the PO's.

Probably the same balls they use for HR derby.

I think I said this in a prior game but last year I wasn't concerned if the Sox were behind early in the game because I knew that when we got to their bullpen we'd score more runs.

Now we have met the enemy and he is us. :(

Good one. That why the SOX have to retire your number, Dewey.

So true. One can even make a case for that number to be in The Hall.

Nice response, too. :D

I can live with the type of hit Barnes gave up (medium speed grounder); there’s not much you can do about it. Brasier’s ropes are s different story.

I can’t, and I loved Dewey when I was a kid. I have very high standards though; I’m not sure Rice should be in there.

You're probably right. I'm not the most unbiased person in the world on that topic. Some of my reason I'd consider him is because I give extra 'points' for what he went through with his family at that time and how it didn't affect his playing. Which admittedly isn't fair when considering someone for The Hall.

I think Rice should be, but I don't believe Dewey should. But I definitely feel that the SOX should have retired Dewey's number years ago.

I know. I mean, Wade Boggs has had his retired and Dewey hasn't? And I don't mean that as a knock on Boggs.

Speaking of retired numbers. I think we should retire Manny's.

You can make an excellent case for that. IMO the thing that keeps it from happening is that Manny was Manny.
