I'm back on the trade Beni bandwagon.

 

Whilst he has taken longer to develop, it looks like Moncada and his .902 OPS was the one to keep in the Sale trade, not Beni.

Had neck surgery yesterday and missed game one, since the hospital doesn't get the exclusive Dodger channel. Just got discharged in time to see this mess. I don't know if I hate this team more than the Dodgers.

Who can forget in 1978 when Martin pulled Reggie from the game for not hustling after the ball at Fenway? Then Martin and Jackson had to be separated in the dugout. In this era of baseball, that will never happen because the players are not allowed to be embarrassed no matter how much lack of hustle they show on the field. Anyone who really believes this baseball product has gotten better over the years must be too young to remember the 60's and 70's.

At the time it definately seemed the right decision.

To me Beni is the wrong guy to play left field at Fenway, as they have always had power players out there like Manny, Rice and Bay.

Beni is on pace for 12 HRs which is terrible for a corner outfielder.
