My name, Jose Jimenez.

Reporter: "What do you do for a living."

Jose: "I a relief picher. One time I threw pitch 98 mph."

Reporter: "That's really good, Jose."

Jose: " No, Thee batter hit ball out of park at 110 mph."

Remember when ROLAIDS sponsored relief pitching? With all the bad BP's in baseball, including the SOX, DEPENDS should be the new sponsor.

This is pretty funny stuff right here and needs to be acknowledged

Braiser can't get out of the inning with a 6-1 lead against the Tigers. Pathetic.

He had actually begun to show signs of turning things around before today:

Last 12 games:

12.1 IP

1.46 ERA

15 H + BB

1 SV- 0 BS

5 Holds

.682 OPS Against

He had not let up an ER in 19 of his previous 24 games pitched.

Didn't he get lite up by the Yanks last week? Don't think he recorded an out.

Your right my mistake sorry.

You can always tell if the Sox won by the length of the game thread. This was a fairly straightforward win even if Price only went 5 and Brasier gave up the 2 run dinger. And here we are on page 9.

Nice way to end the first half. They gonna need a heck of a second half. 22 games of those 72 will be against the rays and Yankees. 16 games total against orioles and blue jays. Have to do our damage there.

So many runs were let up, it was hard to keep track.

Really just 4 pitchers allowed most of the damage:

Game 1

0.1 IP 6 ER Porcello

1.1 IP 8 ER Shawaryn

7.1 IP 3 ER Others

Game 2

0.0 IP 4 ER Walden (maybe who you were thinking of)

0.1 IP 3 ER Barnes

8.2 IP 5 ER Others

Moon, if you don't know, we're all in trouble.

We have enough budget space to trade for a legitimate closer. That could be all we need, especially if Eovaldi can contribute.

Our marginal pen guys get bumped down to more manageable roles, and the worst two get bumped off the 25 man roster.

Is Hembree now the de facto closer?

That was Heath's first save since May 8, so it might be a little premature to conclude that.

Well going into the all star break on a hot streak. Let’s keep it going folks.

I just wanna see us beat up on some good teams in the second half. This team has underachieved. Hopefully they right the ship and show they can compete with anyone.

Agreed. When we split with Texas and beat Minnesota I thought we finally had it going. I also want to win a series against the friggin Yankees.

True, but he was on the IL and by the process of elimination, he's the only one left.

He also pitched the 9th 2 games ago, but it wasn't a save situation by 1 run.

Not really a critic because I see the value of long threads after losses. People need to vent.

We're 2.5 down on TB ( 2 in the loss column)

We're 2 down from CLE (3 in the loss column)

Only 2 NL teams have a better winning% than the Sox.
