I know he just got a hit but so far Vlad Jr is not showing me that he can carry a bag a' balls for dad.

Johnson gives one back. We need another starter if eovaldi won’t be ready.

I'm retired and I haven't had TJ surgery and I'm willing to work at minimum wage. I also struck out 15 batters in a Babe Ruth game in the early 60's. What's not to like?

They might be OK with DJ if they have to use him. I am sure Manfred is disappointed by this but the number of breaking balls being thrown is going through the roof and there are now guys that throw breaker after breaker successfully and the hitters can't hit it. Then there is the oddball like Chavis that cannot miss them if the pitcher throws it for a strike.

come on man, can we wait till they hit the ball out of the infield?lol

He only looks at results. 3 balls that the outfielders bring back over the fence >>> 3 dribblers that travel 90 feet combined.

Johnson trying hard to give this back.

The idea behind the breaking pitch has always been the same....make it look enticing enough to swing but make it finish outside the strike zone. Does not matter which pitcher you want to talk about other than Greg Maddox, the idea IS NOT to throw it for a called strike. As a result if the hitters are not swinging, the pitcher can look pretty foolish. Then again, if the hitter swings at that crap, we see lots of Bugs Bunny swing and miss, weak s*** dribbling around the infield and blops.

Well said. That's the main reason there so few good hitters and a ton of average or less hitters.

Johnson actually looks decent today. Granted it’s the jays. But still

To get 6 innings would be a plus. It helps to have a nice decent lead.

Between the Orioles and the Blue Jays, the birds of North America are not getting much respect.

Those birds could be extinct due to the rotten play of both teams lol.

Looks like his day is done. I would give him the six innings. I think he could go one more possibly two. He looked really good in the fifth.
