Vladimir Guerrero has been called up by the Toronto Blue Jays he'll suit up for Friday nights game against the A's. This kid has been tearing it up at every level of the minor leagues all indications show it will continue in the MLB with his bat.

Nationals’ infield prospect Carter Kieboom (Key-boom) was also called up.

Kieboom hit a game-tying home run in the eighth inning, leading to the call on Nationals’ radio “BANG!! ZOOM!! Carter Kieboom!!” (Courtesy of MLB Radio.)

Nice call, although the last name is pretty much low-hanging fruit...

Vlad Jr. looked good in his debut. Good at-bats, big double in the ninth, handled the plays he had at third perfectly. Jays fans were going nuts over him.

He’s going to sell a lot of jerseys

He looks like the real deal, the whole package. And he radiates love of the game. This guy is going to be great for baseball.

I haven’t seen him yet but if his smile is anything like his dads he can be the face of baseball....

He put the ball in play 4 times and 3 of those were to the opposite field. The other one came a few feet short of going over the left-field fence. I'm kind of excited about this guy myself.

His smile is even better than his dad's.

I would like to see if he has his dad’s trademark plate discipline. You know, the kind where you can single to left on a pickoff throw to first...

That's the other beauty of the kid. He has excellent plate discipline. More walks than K's in the minors.

He looks pretty hefty for such a young player. I wonder if there's some Sandoval in his future.

He looks more like Manny Ramirez to me - a tank.

I agree, but he has the type of body which can get out of shape in a hurry, he will need to work very hard to stay fit.

Love the energy he brings to his game, it's contagious. I was a huge fan of his dad, he might be even better than him.

He should be. But look at that body! He looks like a shorter version of Prince Fielder with golden locks.

He needs to work with a nutritional expert or something.

Might still be a bit early to compare him to his Hall of Fame dad. Not every legacy is Ken Griffey Jr. Just ask Dale Berra...
