I'm sure Mookie intentionally wanted to start off the season like this. It was a goal of his.

Porcello could not find the plate even with a military grade gps system.

 

After all this time and experience, he seems never ready to pitch in the first inning. I saw him warmup to start vs the Rays a couple years ago and his preparation for the start took about 45 minutes. He pitched well that night.

At my age, been "poisoning" myself longer than most citizens are going to live. That said I don't recommend it nor do I recommend careers that just about compel it...Glad to say that the expectations for executive drinking are not what they used to be when I had the job. It was on the wain as my retirement was coming into view.
