The ump missed it and there wasn't enough to overturn it. No luck for the Sox.

WRONG!

THE A's feed even showed OVERWHELMING evidence ....

At least the Trop doesn't have 40 acres of foul territory and its not 4 miles to the fences. Neither place draws fans.

Well Davis must have hit it 4.5 miles. The HR derby vs our starters continues

Geez was that David HR gone right off the bat. JBJ could have just as well saved himself the trouble. Would have had to hit a seagull to stay in the park.

Before video review the f'ing ump could only be wrong once on a close play. Now the turd can be wrong twice.

Nothing surprises me anymore in the MLB.

Price is dealing however other than that solo run.

Yup. A’s announcers thought he was safe and showed clear replay of Xander’s foot being down

As an ump on the spot, given the way the game is called on a GREAT THROW, I would have called him out......

On the replay? There was ABSOLUTELY ZERO DOUBT that he was safe! SAFE by a replay mile....

Which if course translates to safe by a 1/2 second, which is an eternity in replay.

I can only assume that you guys are seeing a different set of replays, because the A's feed was BEYOND conclusive. Before the A-holes in the booth called it, they said SAFE.

It's also sad in this modern game of baseball that no one in the SOX dugout, except Bogie, actually showed any emotion about the terrible call. I can still picture a Weaver or a Martin running out on the field and giving the ump hell. Actually, Cora getting thrown out might wake the SOX up.

His foot was DOWN! I even specifically said to my wife, "it is amazing on that hard slide, where your foot poops up on a slide, that he had the presence of mind to STICK his foot DOWN so quickly. HE WAS SAFE.

I get the lack of passion on the call, AS it was a FREAKING GREAT THROW that in any other age would have been called OUT.
