Good point. But who would you rather have with those 80 more PA's? Beni or Betts?

i would rather Mookie and find a better way to spare Mookie over the long season if that is where Cora is going with this. Beni is not IMO a leadoff hitter. Not now...maybe not ever.

Holt (parish the thought) is a more natural lead off than Beni. Though I would not put Holt there steadily either. The only periods in Mookie's career when it made sense to move Mookie out of leadoff were when the Sox were struggling for power and their best RBI guy was batting from the 1 hole. That is no longer the case. Move Mookie back to leadoff and find a way to spare him maybe 40 of the PA dif between the 1 and 2 Holes. If not that then Pull Mookie out of RF against the weaker teams (of which there are legions) more times....maybe have him DH more to spare him some wear over the long season.

Moon. What's your take on E-rod?

He had a bad game.

He pitched great last year, until he got hurt.

I expect a very good to great season from him.

He has nasty stuff but nibbles too much. I keep thinking that can be corrected, and he seemed a little better last year.

I guess I'm just not getting all the doom & gloom after just 3 games.

Bad teams win sometimes. The O's beat the Yanks, today.

It's a long season, and we have a great team.

I'd say, "Relax!" but I know it won't man a thing to many here.

I'd rather have Betts get more RBIs.

Studies show your best hitter does best up second. I see no reason to doubt the numbers.

Beni is pretty damn good at getting on base, too.

That is a much better plan than batting him 2nd.

You make a good point, but it could be argued that JD is the best hitter on the SOX.

The mariners announcer is definitely top 5 most annoying and biased

I mute it and listen to fingers nails on a chalk board instead. Can’t stand Seattle announcers.

Seattle's Beckham looks like a pretty good ballplayer. He's actually a few years older than Betts and Beni.
hes incredibly inconsistent. I think he’s put together one good full season.

They’re up there with Yankees, Orioles and White Sox (assuming Hawk is still around, haven’t heard them in a while). They’re so awful

Obviously, I don't much about him. I was just surprised when I found out he was 29.

You don’t remember him in Tampa? He wasn’t a former number 1 overall pick. Was supposed to be a superstar. Just can’t put it all together consistently. Was in Baltimore past few seasons.
