Man its crazy, half the site said Price sucked and wanted him gone, now were debating who the ace is between he and Sale. I am happy to have both Sale and Price. we aren't here without both of them. As a big Price fan who was thrilled when we signed him, I'm just glad he's finally putting the "sucks in the playoffs" s*** behind him and earning the money.

 

Agreed. I am proud to say I have supported him all year. I was frustrated a bit after the Yankees game but Xander was one bad play away from getting him 5 innings in that game. It’s a good situation to have though having two dominant pitchers. But Sales last 3 of 4 playoff appearances have not been good. Simple as that.

It's nothing to do with my judgement. Cora typically pulls him here based on the pitch count and the fact its the playoffs. So unless he changes this game, price is done. So we'll see what he does

Maxbialystock defends whomever is the Red Sox manager as if it was his job to defend them on this board.....

He’s had a great 2018. If he helps get us a parade the contract no longer matters to me....

 

There is such a small margin for error that it does not take much and things look terrible. Price did all of one thing wrong for 6 innings. He was simply throwing too many get me over 0-0 pitches and the middle of their order caught onto that in the 4th. Take that one error compounded over about 4 hitters in the 4th away and he has a night for the ages going. Does not take much at this level and in the Championship at this level. Every out is a razors edge experience.

Oh yeah, I completely understand the frustration with Price in the playoffs. But with the Red Sox he's actually had quite a few good moments. He was really good out of pen pitching injured last year, and this is his 2nd great post-season start in a row this playoffs. Sale definitely needs to be better in the playoffs, but like Price, he's good enough that I'm confident he'll figure it out. Its actually pretty scary that Chris Sale has mostly struggled, Mookie Betts has been way below his standard and Craig Kimbrel has been complete s*** in the playoffs, and this team is still performing like this.

I am betting Kelly has sold his soul to the devil...probably bought a book on satanic ritual...the whole 9 yards. He will deal with the consequences later he rationalizes.

I will admit though, I thought Kelly sucked and should've been left off the playoff roster lol. I'm glad he made it and is doing so well. Props to him.

Eovaldi. He has the lowest ERA on the team and the most innings pitched in the postseason. No contest.
