10/6 ALDS Game 2 vs NYY

Yankees have an outstanding lineup top to bottom. Red Sox have a top heavy lineup. Bunch of meh in the bottom half. We need better production up and down the lineup. Also, wouldn't help to have a couple of playoff workhorses i.e Pedro and Curt.

 

Cora made this line-up weaker than it had to be.

The good news is that the SOX could easily be down 2-0. I posted a month ago that I wouldn't be surprised if the SOX made it to the WS and I wouldn't be surprised if they exited in the 1st round. This is a team that feasted on the dregs of the AL better than any team in the league. Unfortunately those dregs aren't in the PO's.

 

This group are a bunch of postseason chokers. That’s what they will be if they exit again in the ALDS.

Erod really is not a relief pitcher. Erod is never around after the 5th inning, which means he is never around when his jams leave us with only 9 outs to work with to make up for his crap. I thought it would have made sense to come with Erod early and then come with the guys that are at least used to being around later in games.

 

Loosing Wright really puts us behind the 8 ball as he was going to be long/middle relief for a team desperate for "good" relief of any kind. What did the TBS announce team say, to that point only 44 runs scored in 8 post season games so far. You just don't put up big crooked numbers in the post season. You have to be able to pitch in the post season or the OTHER team WILL put up crooked numbers.

 

Porcello has to come up big in NY.
