I don't think it's too early to post my predictions for the upcoming AL playoffs, so here they are:

WC winner: Yankems

ALDS winners: Yankems and Astros

ALCS winner: Astros

Great regular season by the SOX, in fact, one of the best examples of overachieving I've seen in a very long time.

Definition of overachieving: When a team's won/lost record doesn't equate to the actual talent of the overall team. This exact same team could just as easily won 88-90 games this year.

The good thing about my predictions is that I'm usually wrong.

I love this team. No give up in them.

It’s an L but a positive L

For a minute there I thought POM had finally found himself, but as soon as that thought crossed my mind, bing, bang, boom. He's still lost.

It’s still an L. Looks like the skankees will win the season series once again. I am sure they’re not shaking in their cleats if they see us in the ALDS.

Wow what a stupid statement.

Chapman warming up with a 6 run lead with 2 outs in the 9th. Boone is a f***ing imbecile

Now tell us something we don't know. :D

My friend, Cora sent most of the trash he won't use in POs. You won't see Johnson-Pomeranz-Hembree-Kelly-etc going in game 1.... or 2 or 3 etc.

If I were the Yankees, I would be worried. The Sox made 6 runs and could have been worse with Happ and their titular BP on the mound.

It's a matter of perspective. In the end, the PO games have to be played and while the SOX are the fav, anything can happen.

This is why I'm done with the game threads.

It's ok moon. It's called the heat of the moment LOL!

I've said before. Game threads make you have short memory and it's like you are in a bar with your pals and everything turns reactionary —for good or bad. I've been there.

Said that, we have the best team of baseball —beyond the record.

Yeah, it’s going to be great for you guys when Brian Johnson starts Game 1 of the ALDS, and the Yankees are going to be slugging like crazy when Cora replaces Kimbrel with Cuevas as a closer. The Yankees are going to feast on these guys because Cuevas is definitely going to be a key component of the postseason roster. In fact, if it came down to leaving him off or leaving Betts off, I’d tell Mookie to take a hike.

Got nothing to do with those pitchers.

The Yanks should do well against a sale with diminished velocity, their regular punching bag price and a struggling sox bullpen.

Ugly game last night. Wasn’t really expectin a win with Brian Johnson pitching but at least we got a few runs. Good thing is we won’t have to worry about the Yankees come playoffs because Oakland will beat them in the wildcard game. And if it so happens we get the Yankees. Welll game on...... even though I’m nervous as all hell.

You are taking for granted you are going to beat Oakland. Oakland right now is better than the Yankees in all departments.

Oakland will hit a lot of bombs in Yankee Stadium. Save my words. They will likely use their entire BP if necessary in early innings which btw is better than yours.

They seem better regarding healthiness and momentum as well.

We'll see what happens but I think Oakland is slightly fav to me.

Not taking anything for granted, just confident that the Yanks will beat the A's.
