Heeeeee's Baaaack ! Rare for Cora to let the starter go into the 7th. But stick with what's working.

The real question now is , with 82 pitches, do you bring Price out for the 8th? A couple of almost big flyballs that inning. Price will throw his glove and maybe hit Carson Smith if he gets pulled

Except for Sale, I haven't been impressed by a pitcher this year as much as this Nola guy. He's only 25 and came up thru their system.

Nola is indeed very matured for his age without overwhelming stuff. He gives Betts, Benni, JDM very little to hit, that is feeling good about his secondary stuff.

JDM totally confused with those pitches. Should have kept the bat on his shoulder and taken first realizing he wasn't going to see a FB strike

JD can't resist those low outside pitches. But when the pitcher doesn't get it low or outside enough, JD makes them pay. Nola just has outstanding control.

I agree.

But that was not going to happen.

I would bring him back but knowing Cora unlikely.

Price Change has got the hitters really frustrated and they are swinging early in counts to avoid it. I would bring him out for the 8th for that reason.

I think his stuff is very overwhelming.

Man, after all these years, one would think the SOX could develop at least one starter with this kid's talent.

The Sox did develop a starter with even better talent, then after a few years of success they traded him to the Cubs.

Any idea on his velocity tonight?

Lester was as good and better during his peak.

I will concede that Lester did have to pitch in the AL for much of his career and Nola does pitch in the weaker NL. When Lester moved to the NL, his pitching stats were much improved.
