It's truly uncanny how well the SOX do against the NL. I'm surprised OB or Remy doesn't ever mention this. Maybe I'm not surprised.

Amazing to watch a natural talent like Harper really struggling. Definitely brings more empathy for some of our guys when things don't go so smoothly. One of the best is not having great success either. He does have 21 HR's and 50 rbi's so don't feel too bad for the fool. OB and Remy nailed it when they said he will sign for one reason only, the absolute max dollars offered. He has been a horses's ass since high school in Las Vegas.

Harper does not look comfortable doing anything, not fielding, definitely not hitting. Almost like he has something crawling inside his uni all the time. There might be something just flat wrong with him. Of course we will not find out or know or anything really. The bigger the name, the less likely you find out what is going on with them or even get a sniff at something like that. The player goes nuts. His agent goes nuts. The PA goes nuts. Senators start proposing legislation in Congress.

90 degrees and humid here today and into the near future. It's all a matter of comparison. We're not used to this s***! Many of us don't even OWN an AC!

That's one of the things I don't understand about this team. WTF happened to Blake Swihart? In 2015 he was good enough to contend for a catching spot with the Sox and now he's toast. What happened?

I am only cranky when the Sox are losing. I can't help that, but other than that I am usually having fun. I never let a fool ruin my mood, and if they try, I just tell the to Eff Off or something similarly word to let them know that I am done with them. Don't mistake that for crankiness.

 

Retirement has been good thus far. And yes, i am going to more games this year than usual. A couple of things have changed. First, I switched from a week day ticket plan to a full season. second, a friend of mine who is a Yankee season ticket holder has been having health problems and has been letting me use his tickets for a couple of Sox games.

 

I have only been to 2 Mets games this season, which is less than usual, because the team is brutal. my friends who have the tickets can't face going to the games.

Cuevas needs to talk to his BP mates. He only used 13 pitches to get 3 outs from a corpse like Nationals team. That cut his TV exposure by 50% compared to some of the 20-30 pitch relief jobs recently featured.

I believe he was the catcher by default in 2015. And my guess is that, while he could hit and is a good athlete, there were doubts about his catching which continue to this day.
