I'm able to get the NESN feed on xtra innings tonight.

Great. And the really good news is that you don't have to listen to the Three Stooges who broadcast for ESPN last night.

Benintendi is, in fact , trending into slump territory. Last 7 days , he is hitting .208, plus 0-2 with 2 K's tonight. That is different than a career decline but it is a slump, which he is prone to do after a strong run. Edited by vegasbob

Three Monkeys last night.

See no baseball

Hear no baseball

Say no baseball

There's even room for a 4th-

Know no baseball.

I swear it is so hard to think ESPN puts those three knuckleheads together on purpose. It is almost like they are insistent on insulting baseball fans. That is at least as credible a reason as some network exec deciding to put them in the booth together intentionally.

Murphy was slow before the knee trouble, but now his a cripple. I can tell you that Murphy, who is a great hitter, suffers from HUAD disease. I have seen him make a few stupid outs at 3B when he was with the Mets.

I don't think ESPN gives a s*** about the MLB.

Can't they use one team announcer from each team instead of the ESPN announcers? In baseball, National announcers always suck, because they never know as much about the teams as the fans who watch so many games. At best, they add nothing to the fan experience, and very often, like last night, they are as annoying as heck.

Scherzer throwing on a pace for 100 in 5 innings. Look out bullpen. And Porcello with the only significant hit.

I thought that the Fox crew the night before did a more than credible job...even better than some of the local crews we see/hear. That was actually a performance they could be proud of. I even posted that night that if the ESPN crew were watching they should just go out and commit ritual suicide out of embarrassment.
