New day. New game. The board had a bit of tension after two straight losses to a top team. Win today and make everything right. Price has been fantastic his last 4 starts. Will be a huge test against one of the best teams in the league.

Pedroia and Betts on the DL. This is a lineup mess for Cora to sort out. Sam Travis is welcome in town because Blake Swihart is now #24 on the roster. Matybe 23 dpending on whether Brian Johnson gets in another game.

 

A win today would be a huge statement. Just wanting Price to keep the Astros off balance and scoreless all night.

Great Pitchers end losing streaks, they will suffocate an Opponent. Lets See it! Squib Hit, Texas Leaguers, Great Pitchers, don't matter. They have the mental Toughness, where they say they you not beat me today. Many times it's not about just the talent, but the mind. No WAR for that.

Like my stats too, but you get to a point, you absolutely have to watch the game see if your Boy is Bulldog, or Scared Rabbit. Catchers mean squat on this too, up to the Pitcher.

Whew! This game is being broadcasted on FOX tonight. FOX hasn't been available on my cable since January because of a contract dispute. Fortunately, it's on my XTRA INNINGS package. In the past if the game was on FOX, it would be blacked out on EXTRA INNINGS.

Great AB by Vazquez, he didn't get on base or anything, but when you suck at hitting you need to make an impact somehow, his was making Verlander throw a lot of pitches.

I suppose its better than the flagpole and the hill they used to have in CF, but that sharp angle going back in the LCF wall is flat stupid. All they had to do was make a more obtuse angle out there and it would be fine. Even just having dead space behind it would be fine. What they have is ridiculous.

I am surprised the Astros continue to go with Marisnick. Yes, he can defend, but his offense is so otherworldly bad that his overall is terrible

Speak of the devil. The Astros plunk one off the shallower other end of that stupid thing. MLB will accept anything these days. Any park, any rule, any stupid uni, any stupid promo day, a rocket ship baseball. I used to think I would at least make it to the grave before MLB promoed itself to irrelevance. Not so sure any more.

Another problem that arises with Betts out of the line-up is Bogey batting second.

 

Bogey is trending downward. I thought that for sure this would be a breakout season for him. For now, I'm wrong.
