Two s*** starts for Porcello back to back.

The rotation is back to being a problem after that great start. This is two straight rotten starts by Porcello. Pom was horrible last time and has a lousy ERA. Price is anything but consistent this year. ERod is up and down. That leaves Sale.

 

To me it is criminal when the lineup gets 4 off of the same guy who no-hit us last time and who is having a good year--and have Porcello get hammered the way he was.

 

We don't need more JBJ or more Swihart or more whoever to improve this team. We need better starts from the rotation.

And we all know about Sale's history of September swoons. I think Cora would want to reduce Sale's innings this year to avoid tired arm syndrome in September, but unless the other starters show consistency, this may not be possible. Also, there's the inconsistent BP, which doesn't help.

...Vaz for the first couple weeks looked like Pete Rose with the bat ...we had an aggressive approach and hardly ever swung at stuff that couldn't be crushed ...good news ....Pedey is back next week ,Nuney gets to sit the pine and watch awhile ,JD is heating up the hotter it gets ... The team needs Benny to step up much more than in the past now ...Xander looks good ...Mookie all world still...I would seriously look at playing Swihart behind the dish full tilt ...won't happen but that's my idea .I think Swihart with consistent at bats takes off...That swing is too good to stay cold .
