RHP Andrew Kittredge (0-2, 3.18) vs Eduardo Rodriguez (0-0, 0.00)

Thank God E-Rod comes back today. That means I get to see Sale and Severino on Tuesday. Please be good E-Rod, not walks galore E-Rod. Don't let these dimwits steal one. Win. Dance. Repeat. x8

I'm anxious to see the return of ERod. Velazquez and Johnson are now long man options in the pen, if needed.

Complete the sweep. Let's go!

Let’s see how well ERod can start. It’s been a long time. He’s got a higher ceiling than Johnson, but hasn’t put together a full season.

ERod has always had pretty good stuff, not not pretty good location.

JBJ benched again today with Beni going to CF, JD to LF, and Moreland playing 1b and batting 6th, with Devers going down to 8th, no doubt to try to revive the bottom of the order.

The Seattle Times forum's game thread title for today's game in Minnesota:

GT #8 Lynn V Marco in weather cold as Ted Williams' head

http://forums.seattletimes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=239228

The game has been snowed out.

The 27-degree temperature at the first pitch of Saturday's game was the coldest game in Seattle Mariner history and the coldest game in the history of Target Field. The Mariners won 11-4 to move to 4-3 on the season.

I can't believe I still forget that the Twins aren't in the Metrodome anymore.

That was a terrific sequence by Vaz and Erod on Gomez who was starting to time that FB. They went away from it just in time to punch him out. Gomez, not happy.

The starters need to throw something other than a fastball to get fast outs. Pom and E-rod are vets now and they still throws insane amount of pitches.

Way too many pitches for a guy in his first start coming off an injury.

Yes, 3 Ks for his first inning back sucks.

4 good innings today is all we need.

No question ERod should have gone away from the FB two pitches earlier than he did. ERod is as we know not going to have confidence in three pitches in the 1st inning at this point. Hopefully he gets there. Knee really set him back and I am still not happy with the way the knee injury was handled by ANYBODY.

I’d rather a low pitch count and ERod not always nibbling. No difference between a k and a pop out. High pitch counts suck.

His knee is something chronic with him. I haven't watch a bleep of spring and was surprised he was named today pitcher out the gate.

Mookie shouldn't have gone on that but I'll take it

He’s fast and had agreat lead. He should go on that every time.

Hechavarria might have had him if he threw home

It's not easy to get a tiger to change his stripes.

ERod has been successful doing what he does. Of course, I'd prefer him to go 7 IP not 5, but I'm not so sure I want him to try changing anything to reach that goal.

Be careful what you wish for.

I'm cautiously optimistic that his knee issues are behind him. I think that alone could allow ERod to have his best season ever in 2018 and go on to great things, even if it's just for 5-6 IP per start.

Yup. Good way to wear out a pen.
