Unfortunately, it has been used a lot 4 games into the season, let's review which ones are in the list already:

Ellsbury CF

Bird 1B 6 - 8 weeks

Hicks CF

McKinney CF

The OF depth being tested this early in the season

We are being hit in one spot pretty hard. Thankfully, we have significant redundancy

Us, too. Losing 3 of our top 6 SP'ers is a heavy blow. So far, our 7th and 8th starters have gotten the job done.

Better to get hit early in the DL than late in the season, this way the GMs have enough time to add pieces in case it's needed

Ellsbury digs deeper in the DL now a hip injury

I'm ready to call him the new 'American Idle"

I confess that I was a huge Ells fan when he was with the Sox.

Now I am gleeful that he is a massive waste of roster space and is, essentially, dead money walking.

a700 was right about 5-7 years ago. Ellsbury is glass.

I liked Ellsbury in Boston, but obviously like most people did not want to pay him the absurd money he was going to demand in FA. I'm glad the Sox let him go, and equally as glad it was the Yankees who overpaid him.

Yes. Most of us feel this way.

Hicks expected to miss the minimum and should be back for sox series

Let's see, Hicks has a lot of talent but he needs to stay healthy to be productive, so far looks like he's been more time in the DL than playing since we acquired him

What we need is for Frazier to be healthy. With Gardner able to man CF and Judge actually doing a reasonable job out there, we need another OFer who can play a corner position or squeak by in CF and be really good offensively. I don't think Thompson is that guy long term, but I do think Frazier can get some serious run once Hicks goes down again or if we see another injury. If Hicks returns and Frazier gets healthy, then I think we will be in a better spot to handle further injury issues

What is the status of Ellsbury?

Bad luck for frazier, this was his chance to get the OF job

Hicks won the job and its his to keep. Unfortunately, Hicks goes to the Jacoby Ellsbury school of fragility, so Frazier will get his shot

Probably, but this was a great audition opportunity for Frazier, I know he will get more but this was wasted

Every new stadium should be built with a retractable roof. i'll never understand how NY built 2 new stadiums neither of which have retractable roofs.
