Devers dropped from 5th to 8th--good idea in view of his struggles batting 5th.

Love those first three--all can hit and run.

Despite the humoungous runs against in the last three games--13, 13, and 7 runs--I think the bullpen is not overtaxed, especially Kimbrel and Reed.

 

Applause to Station 13 for stepping up to help our guys turn things around.

 

I live in N.Virginia and thus get the Orioles feed--muted, of course. I have neither heard nor read a single word from Salty--a blessing.

So major league teams don't wear their iconic uniforms on the following weekends

 

1. Memorial Day

2. Mother's Day

3. Father's Day

4. 4th of July

5. Player's Weekend

6. Labor Day

 

That is just about one quarter of the weekends of the season. Due to free agency, it is hard for the fans to identify with the players as part of their communities. We are left to root for the laundry, and now more and more we can't even root for the laundry as they keep trotting out these hideous outfits. If Chris Sale throws a perfect game or a no-hitter, I am not going to buy the poster if he is wearing one of these garish softball uni's.

Here is my proposal. Since I attended the 2 Cardinal games and the first Yankee game (three of the best games of the season), the Red Sox have s*** the bed big time. I think I should set up a Go Fund Me page so that I can attend the rest of the season and the post season to bring my unique "at the game" mojo.

Hanley is the next s***** contract were going to have a find a way to get rid of. I'm sure there is a great market for a DH that has a .750 OPS, cant play defense and makes a cheap $20 million a year.
