Is Farrell going to send ERod out for the 9th? I would.

I would as well, and I'd warm Kimbrel up when/if E-Rod gets in any trouble.

E-Rod has shown a lot of improvements the season. Good for him.

Getting through 8 innings with less than 100 pitches is something we've needed from ERod for a long time.

Let's hope he can continue going deeper into his future starts.

What's with this Alfred Hitchcock horror show going on in the outfield? Those are a lot of seagulls.
Earlier in the week, the Giants played a 15 or 16 inning game and by the end it looked like there were more Seagulls at the stadium than fans. I stopped watching because it became very annoying and distracting that the Gulls were flying in front of the center field camera.

Yes, he was going to until that long top of the 9th.

Yes, he has. He looked very good today and was very efficient with his pitches. As you said, good for him.

It probably has something to do with being so close to the bay and the abundance of scrap food to be had in the stadium.

This reminds me of the one time that I sat in the left field grandstands at Fenway. It was a double header with the Brewers way back when Boomer was playing first for Milwaukee.

A f***ing pigeon s*** on my head.

I never sat there again!

And no, it did not bring me good luck!

How was your trip to Camden Yahds?

It was a lot of fun, though I was rooting for the Jays. It was a long day with the trip up there and back, but though traffic was heavy for pretty much the whole trip up, it was moving most of the time. I think we only hit 3 spots where it was stop and go, which is pretty good!

Fun day at the ballpark with the kids. You can't beat that.

To be honest, I've been impressed with the A's pitching. That combined with our return to anemic hitting could easily lead to a sweep what with Triggs going 5-2 with an ERA of 2.12.

So try this on for size. Our first four hitters--Betts, Pedroia, Bogaerts, and Benintendi--have 3 hits among them in this series to date.

Speaking of annoying birds, on Saturday I played golf and a crow ate my sandwich. True story.

The reverse lock was on yesterday. I was doing a bunch of reverse stuff myself bitching about our offense.

Maybe 30 years ago my son & I took a charter bus to Fenway for a day trip and the moment I stepped off the bus a pigeon s*** on my shoulder. I managed to clean some of it off in the men's room but the residue was there for there rest of the day. Ugh.

Then a few yeas ago I was walking on a beach in southern Maine when a seagull s*** down the front of my shirt. And I can tell you for sure that one seagull can put out a lot of s***.

I don't care what anyone says, I think it was intentional and I think those sucker have good aim. Bleeahhh.

Never go to Rome.

Actually, I've been to Rome several times--stationed in Naples--and that never happened to me. But the suckers love my car in the drive way and even my wife's car under the carport.

I'm going to see the Sox in a few weeks here in Houston.

Nice. I really like the Houston team.

If the Sox get eliminated, they might be the team I root for.
