The bats broke out, Pomeranz was solid, and the shorthanded bullpen was able to bear down and fend off a rally from the defending world champs. That's a pretty good day to me. There will be something to really complain about soon enough, I'm sure.

I am still waiting for Moreland to flash that gold glove. I have seen balls clank off his glove, but no highlight reel worthy plays. I don't think we gain much if anything over Hanley at 1st.

I have seen him have apparently fieldable balls clank of his glove and get behind him more times than I care to remember for such a young season.

 

He may be very solid and spectacular. But no way in hell has he looked like a Gold Glover.

Gold Hlove mean diddly as we all know, and he has not impressed with the glove thus far.
