I'm a transplanted New Englander living in the South, and my fiance asked me to take her on an MLB stadium tour through the northeast. We're going to Fenway on the 27th, my first time there. I haven't driven in Boston for years, but I remember it being the stuff of nightmares, so I'd like to take commuter rail in, since I know Yawkey Station is close to Fenway. What station would people recommend parking at? Or, if my idea is completely stupid, please give me some advice!

Thanks in advance, Go Sox!

I always like parking at Riverside on the Green Line, it's actually subway not commuter rail, but it's a straight shot to Fenway. It also depends on where you're coming from though.

Where will you be staying?

My sister still lives in central CT, so I was likely just going to crash at her place ... in that case, I guess I'll be coming from "southwest-ish"

Riverside is an easy place for someone from the South - who does not have to do a ton of contested parking (and on the Green Line!). I've found if you are ambitious, garage parking in Central Square is doable and less onerous than other parts of the city (straightforward shot from the Pike).

Thank you everyone, Riverside it is, assuming I don't get Lynched for booing the Yankees when I'm in NYC.

have a great time! make sure you get there early to walk around a bit inside and outside the stadium.

i would recommend grabbing the T and hopping off Kenmore Sq station.
