I thought ERod's problem today was he did not have the good changeup, one that was down in the zone but still hard to resist swinging at.

The notion he wasn't throwing hard enough is silly when the other guys was shutting us down with 89 mph fastballs.

Loss of velocity isn't a problem in and of itself, but is a lot of the time an indicator of other underlying problems. It's not silly at all.

Exactly. Tells me either he isn't strong after the injury or there is something physical/mechanical sapping him of his power. Either way, a kid used to humping it up there at 95 is going to see some performance drop with a 3mph loss of speed

How hard the other guy is throwing means nothing when the other guy is supposed to be throwing slower in the first place. A guy throwing 89 when he usually throws 95 is a lot more worrying than a guy throwing 89 when he usually throws 89. This is like saying that a team not hitting home runs isn't a problem because the other team is hitting 15 singles a game.

Nah, we're just silly poopy-heads. It's better to put our heads in the sand and pretend like everything's alright.

I mean, they rushed him a bit. The problem could be simply that he needs to finish building arm strength/knee strength, or it could be something more serious, but he was definitely not at his normal velocity.

Hey, that's me!

Good on you...learning to only have sex and trying to impregnate during the football season is something most youngsters don't adhere to or even consider. Wrap up until football season is what I learned early on, glad you learned the same.

I think he meant that he was conceived during football season, not that he fathered a child. Either way, it was way more than any of us need or want to know about Thunder.

I don't agree........ from what I've seen on this board Thunder probably jack hammers most of the time, but not when it can be detrimental to the baseball season. He knows better.

I was born in October... 9 months before that is a couple weeks before the Super Bowl.
