Couple of things - When the big boy hits, we all hit. And if I hear Billy Rohr's name mentioned in the same sentence as Eduardo Rodriguez's again I will throw up.

That kind of pissed me off when I scrolled back and saw what some said I lurked on last month a couple of times. ER is NOT Billy Rohr. We may have something special here. Remember, Baltimore was in a pennant fight last season and needed a kick ass reliever like Andrew Miller. They had to give something decent up and this time we may have picked the right guy to get. Please let's not look a possible gift horse in the mouth.

I remember that catch very well. I can actually see it now. It was a bygone era though don't you think. Yaz was clutch. There was such a thing back then. He also knocked in a lot of runs . We used to think very highly of that stat and the guys who had a pile of them. They used to hit 3,4,5. Wait, they still do. But anyway - pitchers with lots of wins were also more highly valued than other guys as well. Oh well - those were the days.
Yes, they were.

I listened to the game Billy Rohr pitched. We really thought that he was going to make a difference. He was a dud. Don Schaul and Mike Nagy had better mini careers. I have been following Rodriguez now since the trade. He cannot be compared to any of them. In terms of raw potential, this kid is it. He has been for a little while. I like Henry Owens as much as the next guy but I really have felt all along that this kid was ahead of him. He is just 22! He will surely have his ups and downs but physically he looks like he was built to last. He also delivers the ball very smoothly. Doesn't look like is working too hard to hit 95 mph. A great trade! We are lucky to have him.

So which Red Sox player is a safe pick to get a hit game 2? Playing Beat The Streak on MLB.com, don't want to mess up.

Played Pedroia, changed it for Ortiz last minute. Currently hating life at the moment. BTS ruins baseball for me, just like fantasy football does football. I hope none of you play Beat the Streak, it's really frustrating.
