Is it my imagination or has Sandoval gotten heavier since Spring Training?

Seems like he is enjoying the clam chowder and all the great culinary food of Boston haha

CY Young with the 7 run rule today, and because it is only the second inning he will stay in to take a worse beating. Maybe he will regress a little in the next few innings toward mediocrity. Oh, Farrell woke up. Kelly is out. He had terrible luck today. Somehow all of his pitches kept hitting bats and several of them were on the barrel.

The more I see at the Lackey trade and the Lester novel the more I think that some heads have to roll already.

I had faith in Kelly but it's gone now. Can he be sent down? Because he's not making any adjustments. He's not figuring it out up here. Putting him in the pen might limit the damage, but I don't want to give up on him as a starter just yet.

He wasn't that bad today. It was bad defensive positioning, and bad luck all around.

Can anyone tell me we don't see Hanley in LF more than 2 year please?

Today is a prime example of why u can't get high on this team until they actually have a long winning streak. Just a disappointing game thus far.

If Kelly were still on the mound, this could be 10-2.

He has to carry his bad luck to somewhere else.

You make your own luck. Primarily by making the ball miss the bat.

Last year on Memorial Day? Buchholz sucked at Atlanta, then there was rain delay, and we came back from a huge hole, snapping a 10 game skid. This one is not over at all.

Nava at .164 with zero other big league tools -- no speed, no arm just cannot be carried on a major league squad. His best attribute is OBP and he has been brutal with that in the first half of last season and so far this season even worse. It's time to give someone else a shot. He was a nice story and he has some great Red Sox memories, but he is not an MLB player unless he is producing a .350 OBP.

Twins have been playing good lately. Expected this game not to be easy. Hopefully the Sox have something in them, because it's looking pretty ugly.
I thought we would use your mojo to run to a third win in a row, but we just can't play consistent enough to have even a modest winning streak. I thought we would have no problem against a pig like Nolasco.

Till JBJ show he can hit MLB, Nava is always 1 step ahead.
