Sox are starting to show that they can come back in games. Last two White Sox games, and the Astros game last Saturday, even though we lost as well as tonight. A great sign moving forward with this team.

Since Nava was not in scoring position, Bogaerts hit the homer - since like Fred told me he can't hit in clutch spots

Is Holt eligiable for Rookie of the Year this year?

He is consider one, but no way is he winning it. Jose Abreu has that thing locked up unless he gets injured.

Thanks.

This lineup isn't going to sneak up on anybody. There isn't a lot of potential there. There is a lot of hope. Without a miracle, this group goes nowhere. They need Victorino in the lineup and another hitter.

Besides Holt, the entire offense has underachieved this season. The Red Sox are 0-4 on their top prospects, and the veterans all fell flat. They can turn it around, but who knows if they will. Tonight was a good start.

Farrell has said that Vasquez would usually sit the first game of a series when possible so he can watch and hopefully learn how the Sox pitch to opposing hitters.

So expect to see Vasquez tomorrow?

Thanks Spud--just as long as Vazquez sees most of the action. He should not be on the Red Sox if they don't plan on catching him 75% of the time. I heard Betts will be in the lineup tomorrow. I wonder who sits. And Drew got two hits tonight......quick send in a respirator.

Yup. When he gets challenged even by alright heat, his bat is just too slow.

This may be a recurring problem during his career and we better find out now if he can make those adjustments. Bat speed does not increase as you get older.

Smarty pants. Hell sk, I will take the homer whether there was a RISP or not. It was a clutch hit and one we needed badly. Good to see X unload on one for a change. I think he is now up to 145 or so hitting with men on base. Well you have to start somewhere and I will take it.

So, you no longer think they need another hitter. Ellsnury has been replaced by an automatic out with Bradley. I am not seeing much potential with him. It' s hard to produce consistent offense when a lineup has at least 3 holes. Catcher, SS and CF are killing us. Even if the other 6 spots start performing to career norms, these 3 will keep the offense in neutral.
