You guys aren't giving Tanaka credit. He tries to K batters once they get on base. Hitters just haven't seen him a lot to adjust to him never throwing in the zone in the situation.

I understand that but that third strike drew swung at was baffling.

The catcher had to stand up, WTF!

LOL these Fox announcers are hilarious sometimes.... what a good job Soriano did "knocking that one down enough to hold him to a double" when he lets a single turn into a double by not fielding the ball.

he'd better be. The yankees spent 175M to get Tanaka.

They spent $25 mil a yr in terms of AAV for Tanaka. The sox spent $17.1 mil a yr for DiceK. Tanaka was younger and better at the time of the signing

Cool tanaka has played even better than expected. How are McCann and Beltran doing?

McCann has been great defensively, but an utter disappointment offensively. Beltran is a disaster. That being said, somehow we are WAY better than the sox this yr.

Have to agree with you on that one.

WAY? No you're not. You skid by thanks to some closers meltdowns.

The Red Sox can't do anything for their starting pitching.

Pedroia must have a horseshoe up his ass, to get a safe call there. Aggressive play is one thing, dumbf*** s*** is another.

Put it this way. Even if the yankees do make it to the playoffs, they don't have the starting pitching to do anything.

Through half the season, you're 7 games behind in the loss column. That's a SIZEABLE difference

We have a pen that shortens games to 5 innings. If we get Pineda back, we'll have Tanaka, Pineda and Kuroda with a lights out pen. I think we have the goods on the mound to be dangerous in the playoffs. The problem is, our offense doesn't hit good pitching

As you're probably know, the Red Sox are a bat away from jumping back into this. Nobody is that good in the AL East. The Red Sox have the deepest starting pitching staff.

And I threw up a little with De La Rosa getting demoted today.
