John Lester takes his 8-7, and 3.20 ERA into action today against Athletics lefthander Tommy Milone, 5-3 and a 3.56 ERA. This is certainly no sure thing but I have a feeling we can win this one today for obvious reasons, and it does get another RH bat of facsimile in the lineup and one useless left handed one out. Frankly, I look to the day when the front office gets some brains and moves Bogaerts back to short, puts Middlebrooks at third and hopes he can give us the power we need---which I still think he can, bring up Betts and put him in center for more hitting and a hell of a lot more speed, and keep Brock Holt in one spot in the outfield. We just may start winning some games then, especially if the front office will wake up and smell the damn coffee and finally understand that we don't need Bradley's 207 and Drew's 159 average in the lineup.

 

Come on guys go out there and get Lester four runs and we can win this game today.

 

And if we're fortunate enough to win I WILL start the thread tomorrow!!!!!

I didn't really like Jonathan Herrera in the beginning. But, he's done okay for a bench guy.
He's no Willie Harris. And I mean that as a compliment.
