Now I see why its hard to repeat. For one thing youve got all these teams wanting revenge and on the other I get the feeling like the Sox feel entitled to win, like theyre still living off of last years success. I dont mind so much losing to teams like the Tigers but its losing and getting swept by Cleveland and in the previous losing streak, the Twins that give me the feeling they just expect to win and werent hungry enough to start the season.

A 10 game losing streak and a 5 game losing streak (and counting) within a month does not bode well for this team. I don't think they are getting hot enough to climboutof this sub-.500 hole to be competitive for the division and the Wild cards are a long shot too.

The psychological stuff is impossible to measure, but I think there probably is a letdown factor involved.
