Are they really that bad a team though? They have lost a ton of 1-run games, and have hit poorly with RISP. Sometimes I feel like if they had one more quality outfield bat they would be in much better shape. Losing Ellsbury and Victorino has broken the outfield.

They have lost a ton of 1-run games, have hit poorly with RISP and they have the irritating ability to come back from a deficit to tie the game but not get the lead and eventually get s*** on in extra innings. That is the sign of a s***** team and right now we are a s***** team.

 

BTW, was it you or 700 Hitter who I g ot into a conversation with before the season and hinted that as bad as the Blue Jays were last season they could come back and do what we did last year. I think it was you. That's the East Division of our league for you....riding high in April, shot down in May.

Gomes is still hitting .297/.425/.469/.894 against lefties. For some odd reason, Farrell has seemed to forgotten that he has a .169/.247/.296/.543 line against righties.

 

Farrell has forgotten a lot of things this season. He is managing most of the time with his head stuck in his rectum. How many friggin' times are we going to see Miller and Mujica in there late in the game and keep losing those contests. When is going to wake the hell up?

Probably not me. I have been very much down on Toronto's pitching for a while now, and their offense is very much dependent on the "if-healthy" clause.

No Navafan, it should never have come down to Taz and Koji. Look at my first post on the first page of this thread......We cannot come back from a deficit to TIE. We have done that countless times this season only to lose in e xtra innings. We cannot afford to just tie---we need to take a lead, get ahead, have at least one more f***ing run than the other team has. Then maybe the game doesn't do into extra innings and have that piece of crud Mujica give the game away. And give the Cardinals credit. They always seem to know when to get rid of someone and we seem to have the curse of picking these turds up when they are no longer effective. Sad to say, even you couldn't help us this time around because right now we stink again.

You also have a miserable way of handling an inconvenient truth if you don't like it. Well get the hell off your Yellow Brick Road. What I wrote was true and no matter how much you get your pants in an uproar what I said doesn't make it any less true. We stink right now PERIOD. We have the worst hitting outfield in baseball; we have two decent starting pitchers, we signed a guy who hasn't played in seven months and will no doubt add to our stinking offense and we have undone much of the good we garnered last week.

Wrong, we're 0-4 with him back---and get this madam, we are now platooning at SS with Drew and Herrera. That really makes us look like real contenders. The fact is this season is about shot to hell. We need to start rebuilding the team and deciding who we carry on our team in the future. It is obvious not only Drew but Sizemore, Bradley, Capuano, Mujica and a couple of others have to be put on plane at Logan Airport and sent on a one way ticket to Zanzibar.
