I wouldn't be surprised if they send Mujica back to the nl and he becomes good again like mark melancon did.

Mark Melancon destroyed my liver.

No you didn't. You had above average players play like all-stars

Nava, Carp, and Koji had career years, but a few guys having great years isn't exactly unusual. The key players played to their career norms.

Napoli and Victorino had ridiculous BABIPs. Nava was one of the best offensive players in baseball.

What the f*** is up with John Farrell this season? Seriously, you're giving the guy with the ERA 8 something more work?

He just refuses to give up on him.

I've been asking myself the same thing NB but I remember he pulled some real stupid boners last year too but got away with them because the team was on fire and bailed him out of some of his mistakes. Still he managed better than he is managing now. He is like Francona.....very stubborn, as in his insistence that Bogaerts bat sixth. He has already left four more men on base tonight. He needs to be moved to second, and they have to get Pedroia out of the leadoff spot and put him back at No. 3. Until that is done this s*** type of baseball most likely will continue. And will someone kidnap Doubrant and smuggle him to Zanzibar?

The core of that team perform as expected, Ellsbury, Pedroia, Ortiz, Lester, Buccholz, Napoli, that seals the deal. The compliment players did well above average to push it over the top.

I would only put Victotino and Koji as playing over their heads. They were responsible for 10 WAR. Like out of nowhere.

Drew/Salty did Well, not allstar stuff.

He did f*** up on many instances last year. Especially putting in Bryan Villareal vs the giants .He couldn't throw a strike and he ended up giving up a walk off walk.

When there very few holes on a club, 2013 happens, they mostly stay healthy and get rest as bench players were good. Only 1 everyday player played 140+.

Pedroia trying to pop a hole in one with the wrong kind of club again. I think he learned that one from Nomar.

Napoli had a .842OPS, tied for his second highest of his career in a full season. He had a full season of 1.045 and a half season of .960 which props up his numbers. His BABIP last yr was .367, which was a career high.

Victorino had the highest BABIP of his career at .321 and his .802OPS last yr was only the third time in his career he was over .800.

jacko, Napoli high BABIP can be thank to moving into the AL East, and his high K rate also keeps his BABIP high, as only balls in play can lower BABIP.

Mike napoli is a career .259 hitter and he hit .259 last year. Obviously the high babip didn't attribute to an above average ba. He did not have a gigantic year.

Napoli didn't do anything that wasn't himself. He hit for power, and strikeouts and draw walks.

Just for the record, did you see this kid Rob Rasmussen pitch to Papi? I was his sponsor six years ago when he played for the Senior Babe Ruth Team that I founded in 1973. I think he even won the Fred Peritore Award that year. A great young man from a great family. Hell, I was both his father and mother's history teacher in high school. It was nice to see something I liked on an evening when things don't look so good for our team.

I think I will put on the 2004, 2007 and 2013 World Series DVD on tonight. I think I can use some good news and take a look at some better days in the past. Good night all.
