The main question this season - will anyone beat Alabama?

I really don't see it. I went to their game weekend before last when they plastered Arkansas 52-0, and while that's not good competition, they just did everything so well. I'd like to see a Bama/Oregon title game. While I don't see any way Alabama would lose, it'd be fun just to watch the contrasting styles.

I don't see anyone beating Bama. That team is just too good.

I do hope that FSU plays them and somehow wins though, I really like Jameis Winston

Oregon State's uniforms are embarassing tonight.

Nike is continuously coming up which bad ideas for uniforms.

Welcome back, buddy.

They still have two losable games, even before Atlanta. LSU next week is always a challenge, even with their depleted defense. The talent is still there for them in the trenches, and Anthony Johnson will give the interior of the Alabama offensive line the toughest test they've faced to date. And if Alabama has two weaknesses it's cornerback (Deion Belue is banged up and boundary corner has been committee position all year) and ability to rush the passer with four men -- both things that could prove quite detrimental against Mettenberger and company. Landry and Beckham Jr are probably the best WR duo in the the entire country, and they're going to make life very difficult for Alabama's corners.

Then there's Auburn -- Gus has them playing really, really well, and a spread to run offense stocked with talent is always a test even for the most discipline defenses. With that being said, Alabama is going to score points, and Nick Marshall is going to have to make more than a few plays if Auburn hopes to be in the game in the final ten minutes.

And hey, maybe offensive genius Dan Mullen will finally show up later this month in Starkville!

Going to the FSU game was such a great experience. Can't believe they covered the spread. Tallanasty is freaking awesome. I need to go to school there because I just had a top 5 greatest weekend ever in my life. I also did not think about talksox one second since I was there. That's huge because I'm addicted to this site lol. I'll be pissing s***** cheap beer for the next month.

Oregon lost (I am an Ohio State fan, by the way; I went there for two years). Now it is time to screw the Buckeyes again. With Stanford being ranked 5th and beating Oregon who is ranked 3rd, I have this feeling that a one loss Stanford team jumps Ohio State. It would be unfair in my opinion, but the weak Big 10 schedule the Buckeyes have might allow that to happen. We shall see. Hopefully 'Bama loses to LSU and FSU will be #1 and the Buckeyes will move up to #2.

Getting tired of Bama being #1. Really looking forward to the Iron Bowl this year. Auburn could be in the top 5 by then.

I'm completely shocked - SHOCKED -that some college athletes can't read or write to an acceptable level - or even at all. I just don't understand how they can keep getting passing grades in their classes in order to keep their NCAA eligibility...

Let's get real here - it's time to pay them and have them be employees of the colleges. If they want a degree as well, either throw them a tuition on the side or they pay for it from their wages - but if they can't cut it academically, it won't stop them playing. Otherwise give their spot to a deserving non-athlete student, and let's forgo the time-wasting sham that goes on in the present system. Besides, a player can bust his ass for four years, have a career-ending injury in his senior year and have nothing to show for it. There's a reason most jump ship as soon as they are eligible for the draft (their time in the classroom being for nothing). It's time to give them a decent share of the gazillions of dollars being made off of their labor.
