I'm more surprised by the fact that he's Chinese from Panama.

Maybe the Sox offense just sucks their first night in a city. They were shutout the first game of the Houston series. And barring a miracle they are looking to get shutout here too. It's a shame that Lester pitched decently (for once) and we wasted it.

You can't put a patchwork defense out there on the road and expect to win. I can't recall Nava playing 1B in Pawtucket. Holt never played 3b before Boston. Gomes is a strictly Fenway guy in LF. It's either stupidity or pure hubris. Farrell is just shuffling the cards he's given. At least Lester's line looks OK. 1 ER in 7 innings. Any resemblance between him and Dumpster is fiction.

While the errors were costly we still have a "0" next to our name. So assuming Chen passes his steroid test and the results hold, the defense won't be what lost us the game.
