I suggest you don't go outdoors for a couple days. Because it'll either be a mojo-induced lightning strike, or me swooping down with a baseball bat.

Tillman shutting out the Sox for the second time in just over a month, glad he's on my fantasy team.

CC getting his ass lit up for the second consecutive start. Not glad he's on mine.

With Iggy and Drew both not hitting now, you wonder how long can they put up with lite hitting at both 3B and SS. That is certainly one of their hitting problems. Time to consider Middlebrooks again, and Bradley in the OF. For offense.

I really dont want this team too go back in second place. Nava , carp( not through his fault), and iggy arent giving the sox the production they were. Combine that with drews s*** at bats, i think the sox should consider getting another power batter too bolster up this lineup.

lol, I feel your pain. I have Dickey on my team who's getting lit up tonight by the freaking Astro's, and I traded Bautista for him at the start of the season. :(

This sox team isnt a team that doesnt hit bombs, but its pretty middle of the pack. We could really use the long ball on nights like these when we cant string hits together.

And now we see iggy not getting those lucky dribblers anymore, making him all defense now. He was having a stint a month ago where he was hitting for a little bit more power but lately hes been herrendous.

The BABip gods are vicious bastards. I sort of wish I had never learned about this BABip s***, to be honest. It's kind of a depressing stat.

This won't be a popular view but as the things we want start to pile up, the reality of what this team is does start to settle in. They are not going to rebuild the team in a week because their hustling, never give up, overachieving style of play got them to the ASB in first place this year. I for one cannot count the number of outstanding Red Sox first half seasons that have eventually fizzled. They are simply too numerous to mention.

I hate to admit it but the Rays are a better team and the O's might be a better team than the Sox. That is especially true when you have what was the most effective starting pitcher in baseball on the shelf for what will eventually turn out to be 9 weeks at best.

So we need two relief pitchers, a starting pitcher, a RH bat, somebody to play 3rd base, probably somebody that can catch without needing a compass to find 1st, 2nd or 3rd base with his throws.....and on and on and on. It has been a nice run but maybe in reality this is the team many of us thought it was at the start of the season. I think BC will let us know what he thinks shortly.

Thanks, this made me feel better about the team.

I know I shouldn't be nervous yet, but the season we had in 2011 really has me nervous for this second half of baseball. We look absolutely dead tonight. Absolutely no excuse for this as we had yesterday off. To make matters worst Tampa is spanking the Yanks.

Thats very true about the rebuilding at the deadline. I really hope fluke performances by players on this team will not cost this team a shot at the playoffs.
