After taking advantage of Cobb in the first inning, he's really settled down. The Red Sox noticed this trend, and have been taking more pitches to try to get him out of the game. I've noticed the last several batters take somewhere between 5-7 pitches a piece.

That's what they're good at. In the first, they just hammered everything they saw. It worked, but they can't survive doing that all game.

If he's healthy and productive, they'll give him a qualifying offer, which hurts his chances to sign with other teams. If he doesn't take the 1/15, they'll probably get him on a two year deal.

If they let him go, it could be the start of a new phase. I want to see him back, but WMB would go to first, Iggy at SS/3B (Drew's either bench or gone), and Bogaerts at 3B/SS. But they should keep him. He's worth all the strikeouts.
