Back 3 months ago, I saw mocks with him in the top 5. He was listed at 13 on mlb.com. He's a hell of a talent. I want the big power hitting OFer, though. Wilson is my guy

well, whoever picks him up is getting a pretty good deal I imagine, the fact that his value has gone down might help a team sign him under slot value I assume; but as I said before Im not the most well informed when it comes to the MLB draft.

Actually, I now want Wilson. He'd be our RFer for years. I forgot about him

Wilson would be a great pick too. Once you get him away from the Stanford coaches, his power will probably come back. Hopefully they didn't mess up his swing too badly.

The Yankees just couldn't resist drafting the lefthanded power hitter

big power, great eye, average hit tool, probably a corner OFer in the future. Good fit for the Yankees, but his ceiling doesn't reach Wilson's or Stanek's, IMO

Yeah, he's fine for where the Yankees drafted him. I'm just surprised they didn't take someone with a higher upside.

Yikes, Harvey sounds like a moron. "I've never been a real fan of college, or education in general." At least cover up the fact that you're an idiot so you have leverage to ask for slot. Jeez, kid.

exactly. He just cost himself $500K

The Yankees didn't miss out on much. Kaminsky's 5'11'', not very projectable, has never been challenged by good talent having played in New Jersey.

He's got a plus, plus curveball and advanced pitchability as a HSer. As a lefty, that leads to a pretty safe floor. I am not crying, I cannot believe the guys who are still there. Typically, you see the prep kids fall, but the college fall is unprecedented

Clarkin and Wilson and I'll go away from today happy

I think it might be a little early for Wilson. Not sure when the Yankees next pick is though after their back-to-back picks.
