On Thursday, the Red Sox have the 7th overall pick in the annual MLB Draft which can been seen on the MLB Channel Live. They have been some discussion between Clint Frazier as well as Austin Meadows. Both outfielders with plus tools. In Keith Law's latest mock draft, he has them taking Meadows. We also could take Colin Moran or Kohl Stewart. Who do you feel the sox should take?

There's already been quite a bit of discussion of this in the Mock Draft thread.

I don't think there's any chance any of the college guys like Appel or Moran fall to the Sox. Kohl Stewart is probably the best talent that we could hope would fall to us. If he does not, I'd take Frazier. There have been some questions about Meadows' defense lately, and that was what set him apart from Frazier. The biggest knock on Frazier is his size, but he hits for more power than Meadows.

Clint Frazier had this to say about Keith Law ranking him behind Meadows:

"He's got me ranked eighth and Austin third, even though he came to town and saw Austin go 2 for 3 with two singles. I led my game off with a home run and hit a home run in the next at bat. I saw like five pitches that day and hit two home runs, but he still left town saying I couldn't hit. I don't like the guy and I can't wait to prove him wrong."

Tell me that doesn't sound like something Pedroia would say.

They should just draft the best player available, because we are pretty bare in our lower level systems. I hope Jonathon Grey falls to us.

If Moran goes first to the Astros, and the Cubs take Gray, Appel could fall into the Red Sox lap. Wishful thinking, but a possibility.

Don't know who the player will be, but the Sox don't have a number 7 pick that often so they need to get it right. It has to be someone that is a can't miss player.

Can't miss players don't grow on trees. The closest thing to a "Can't miss player" this draft is Appel, and he has big signability issues. Other than that, there's no projected generational talent in this draft.
