I'd put in one of the Japanese dudes to face Lawrie. Lawrie's already homered off of Miller in 3 at bats and if he grooves one Toronto can take the lead. Our good relievers all got the day off yesterday so we can do the 7th/8th/9th to make sure we hold onto this one.

Scary thing about the number of stints for the combo of Taz and Ueh is that we are going great right now....what the hell is supposed to happen when we cool off a little bit? We got a couple guys coming back but I am not sure we could use them the way we have used Taz and Ueh.

Lots of holes in the lineup with both Vic and Ortiz sitting. Vic is a great table setting and no need to tell anybody what Ortiz does when the table is set.....HE FEASTS. As it is guys like Carp and Nava can play the Vic roll but Napoli has got to come up big when Ortiz is not there. The Jays are coming right after Naps with Ortiz out of the lineup. Big shoes to fill though

 

I was about to argue with you... but if you look at Napoli, he started heating up almost exactly the same time when Ortiz returned to this lineup. Ortiz had a day off on the 23rd, and Napoli went 0-3.

I am hoping that Bres and Frankie can be set up to be two inning stint guys. This stuff one inning per stint and a stint almost every game for everybody is just wearing these guys out. That much is pretty obvious.

To Taz and Uehara's credit, they've been pretty efficient in not using too many pitches in their outings. But yeah, we definitely need other guys to step up so we don't have to rely on them every close game. Having Morales and Breslow back should be a good start, and hopefully Hanrahan and find what it was that made us give him that contract. Wilson has also been a nice surprise thus far in the season. Miller....well there's only one of him.
