Cobb's ERA just went up by almost two runs.

 

I love early season stats, they change so dramatically.

 

 

With an 8 inning 1 ER performance Halladay took his ERA down by about 6-7 runs.

 

A no-hitter would have been a great bday present but I'm just happy with a Sox win, especially when by definition it makes it a Rays loss.

At what point is it just too silly how broadcasters tip toe around talking about no-no's? Isn't constantly showing the scoreboard and noting the zeroes the same as just saying there are no hits? What about the "there's Clay sitting at the end of the bench all by himself?"

 

Also, the whole "and Fenway stands as one" phrase needs to be retired.
